The Competition
Highlights of the game include Research & Development, Building & Testing a Fuel Cell/System, Game Design and Hydrogen Safe Game Floor, and the Insertion of a Fuel Cell System in an unmanned vehicle.

 

Competition Team Timeline:

  • June 10, 2008 - Complete the Team Application form and fax it to us at 440-884-1511

  • June 10, 2008 - Order the 2008 Competition Kit & Entry Fee online

  • August 10, 2008 - Pre-Season Information will be mailed to each team

  • September 10, 2008 - Kick-off of the Fuel Cell "Green Machine" Competition - Stage 1 Released (R&D)

  • October 10, 2008 - Stage 2 Released (Build & Test Fuel Cell System)

  • November 10, 2008 - Stage 3 Released (Application of the Fuel Cell System)

  • December 10, 2008 - Stage 4 Released (Game Design)

  • January 15, 2009 - End of Stage 1 through 4

  • February - March 1, 2009 - Judging

  • April 2009 - Results Released

Competition Component Requirements:

  • Each team will require a Fuel Cell Competition Kit. The price of this kit is $2,000 plus shipping and a $500 entry fee for pre-approved teams. These kits are re-usable for a variety of other educational applications. Click Here for yours.
